Has anyone had a break through with this condition? I have been dealing with Vaginismus since my wedding night back in 2005 at the age of 25. Yes I saved myself for marriage. Most people and Dr.s are surprised that a woman this day and age would do so. It's 2014, I'm 34, divorced because I couldn't get my "female problems resolved fast enough"! I still suffer from vaginismus. But I am in a truly loving relationship with a saint of a man! I am not afraid of sex and every Dr. I have seen has not known how to help me. I have tried the kiegal exercises. Maybe I'm doing them wrong. So frustrated with this ongoing physical and emotional pain! Yet I am incredibly grateful for "V" for getting rid of my ex-husband and helping me find my true love! Any ways I would love to hear from anyone who has conquered Vaginismus or is currently dealing with it them selves. I have always felt like an isolated freak. It is a relief to know I am not the only one.

Hi Zefiryna,

Thank you for posting and welcome!
Vaginismus can be very painful and I'm sorry you are having to go through this. There are different types of treatments which include education, exercises, and counseling. A large part of vaginismus is the fear associated with having sex. Please take the time to read through the treatment plans on our page: https://www.empowher.com/condition/vaginismus/treatments

I hope this helps!
