I have had runners knee since july and i have iced and stopped running completely. I am starting PT soon, however its quite expensive. I am going insane with lack of cardio. Is there any exercises that burn a good amount of calories without high impact? swimming for me is not an option, but open to anything else. Finally, what can i do to make the pain in my knees subside? i have pain in both of them that hasnt gone away since july? Hoe can i make it heal quicker? any advice? thanks

Hi Lexi,
I'm sorry to hear about your runner's knee. It is very important that you don't do any time of exercise that could make your runner's knee worse. Water jogging may be the only thing worth giving a shot.

Resting is very important with Runner's Knee so please, as painful as it is to not exercise, it is more painful to do more damage or undo the healing that you have done so far.
Get better!
