on dec 20th I had procted sex and im 2 weeks late for my period . I do have irregular periods all the time and on jan 4th I took birth control so yesterday I had black dark brown discharge & then brown with red & then it went away & so I just took a pregnancy test & it came postivie but then I was bleeding & it went away what could it be ? please help .

Welcome to EmpowHER. Not sure what you meant by protected sex. If you had intercourse on Dec 20th and took birth control on Jan 4th, then you were not protected. If you took a pregnancy test and the results were positive, there is a big chance you are pregnant. A light bleeding or spotting is normal, can be due to hormonal changes. Hope this was helpful?
