Q:

hey, I took p2 after a condom broke and a week later I bled just like normal periods and I assumed it was withdrawal bleeding... I'm supposed to have periods last week but they missed.... is it the effect of the p2 or?!

Hello. Thank you for posting.

Withdrawal bleeding after ECP is a menstrual bleed that you can get within 5-7 days where endometrium is shed off thereby reducing any chances of an implantation and preventing pregnancy. So, your next period may be late as a result. Some women prefer to test for pregnancy, even so, for reassurance. ECP can cause irregularity in your cycle which is why it's for emergencies only, such as you indicated.
