Rosa's point in seeing a fertility doctor should be your top priority indeed if you have been trying to conceive for around a year already just to eliminate infertility issues. A fertility monitor like Lady-Comp and the likes should be able to assist you with all the rest of the points mentioned above by Rosa.

Dear Anon,

Thanks for your question. Has it been more than a year that you've been trying to conceive? If so, you may want to see a fertility doctor to test you and your partners fertility

If not, There are certain factors that can help assist in getting pregnant:

1. Be aware of the dates
Start tracking from the first day of your period. Write that date down. On the last day, count how long your period was 4, 5, 6 days? and write that number down. Track your period for at least 3 months continuously.

If your period falls on the "28 day cycle" continuously you are likely to ovulate on the 14th day after the first day of your period.

If your cycles are somewhat long, subtract 18 from the number of days in your shortest cycle. When your next period begins, count ahead this many days. The next week is a reasonable guess for your most fertile days.

2. Watch for changes in your Cervical Mucous
You may notice an increase in clear, slippery vaginal secretions at one point during the month, this is when you are fertile. After that, it turns into a cloudy white discharge.

3. Track your basal body temperature
Again, bring out the calendar- and an oral thermometer. When you wake up every morning, take your oral temp and write it down, right after you have ovulated you will see a slight rise in temp, about a 1 degree difference. The first month is pretty much just to test when you ovulate, since basal body temp usually rises AFTER you have ovulated. This is good to get a better idea when you ovulate and then you can play with sex the following month on the 3 days before you know your temp should be rising.

4. The ovulation predictor test.
Try the other 3 options at least a couple of times before you buy an ovulation predictor test- they can be costly.

These are not for sure methods, but they are always worth a try. If all else fails, try try again...then when you are tired of trying, try one more time then go see a specialist.

Good Luck! Wishing for a Big Fat Positive for you!
