Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

Weight gain is not just about making wrong food choices. We have to ask ourselves why we are over-eating. Why are we substituting food for help? Are we self-medicating with food? And from the physical aspect - are we addicted to sugar? Sugar is a real problem in our diets today and a seemingly collective love of sugar in society is causing us to gain weight rapidly.

When you work on the above issues you can start working on diet and exercise.

You need to focus on fresh foods, not anything out of a packet or a box. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables every day and don't use fatty dips like ranch dressing. Hummus is a better option. Stick to lean meats and grill everything , don't use the frying pan anymore! Cook with coconut or olive oil.

Eat breakfast every morning and make it healthy. A high fiber/low sugar cereal for example, with a chopped banana. Salad and lean chicken for lunch - grilled fish and veg for dinner. If you drink pop then stop, and stick to water. Drink club soda with fresh lime, it's delicious and gives you the fizz you like.

Throw away all the packaged garbage from your home and don't buy them again. Then start to exercise -walking is an easy way to start. You may need to talk to a therapist about your food addiction. You haven't given us any information on what kind of weight you are looking to use and why you are over-eating. You need to tackle that before you can achieve long term success.
