In addition to the services that Susan listed, there are consumer websites that provide information and ratings on physicians. These sites are fairly new, and the level of quality varies. Some are free, some charge a fee. To locate such a site you can simply enter the physician's name in a Google search and the sites with information on the physician should come up in your search.

We are unable to provide a reference of any kind on one particular doctor but you may want to check with the Arizona Orthopedic Society here : http://www.azortho.org/ to see what you can find. Your mother will need to make sure her doctor is board certified and you could check for complaints of actions with the Arizona Medical Board here : http://www.azmd.gov
