Q:

Hormonal Imbalance at 24? What to do?

I'm hoping someone could help me. Recently I've been hearing about hormonal imbalance, and I'm starting to wonder if this is something that I have. I don't have health insurance so I want to figure out if this might be a possibility with me before spending a bunch of money on doctor visits.
I have not been on birth control, but a eatwhole three months in my life. I have had a rough time losing extra pudge, even though I'm a normal weight for my height. No amount of crunches could help, or dieting. I don't eat fast food, everything at home is home made, no canned or persurved food. Clean diet, and if I exercise it doesn't make a difference. After having my baby 7 months ago, I feel stuck. At times I don't have energy to do stuff, but I don't have depression, it has been ruled out at 6 weeks post portom. Plus I don't feel sad, or anything like that. How ever I noticed I ask very sensitive sometimes, like tearing up during a sappy commercial.
If anyone has answers, or suggestions please let me know :) thank you

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Hormonal Imbalance can cause all of these symptoms.  The only way to know, is through blood work.  Your doctor will be able to check all levels of hormones.

Best,

Daisy
