It is a good idea to talk with your primary care physician before starting an exercise program. This is particularly important if you have medical conditions such as heart disease, COPD and arthritis. If you are overweight and have been inactive, you will want to begin slowly and gradually increase your level of physical exertion. With regard to your question, what is your goal? Do you what to lose weight or gain muscle tone? Do you want to know the amount of time you should be exercising each day or are you asking about type of exericise such as aerobic exercises?
