Hi, I have scoliosis and I should be going to a chiropractor for treatment and my insurance doesn't cover out of network doctors. I want to know does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to get coverage? I have done many things to get coverage and I'm waiting to hear from my insurance company. I have Health Plus and they are HMO they don't cover out of network doctors. If anyone have suggestions about how I can get coverage from out of network doctors I'd really appreciate it to hear from you.
Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa,
Does your insuance company carry Chiropractors? Is there a reason why you don't want to use an 'in network' provider? Most of the time, in my experience, the insurance will pay a percentage but not the whole bill for 'out of network' providers.

Please let us know.

Hi, My insurance company is Health Plus and they don't carry Chiropractors at all. The only thing they have as being in network is orthopedist and physical therapy. Physical therapy just gives me temporary relief and orthopedist told me I should be treated by a chiropractor. My orthopedist told me it is medically necessary that I should be treated by a chiropractor because they have the cure that I need. What do you suggest I can do for this?

Please let me know,
Thanks,
Melissa
