How Can I Take my Vaginal Tablets on my Period?

Hi i recently been diagnosed with yeast infection and my doctor prescribed my Canesten 6-day treatment vaginal tablets. I got my period today and i have nothing else but tampons so i still put it in even if the insert says not to use tampons. I am confused because if i use pads, the infection might worsen as i always itch when i use pads. What should i do now? Thank you!

Igr,

I think you need to weigh your options in this case. Although, you may itch with pads, a tampon with a yeast infection can make it much worse. Go out and get some pads--perhaps the thinner ones, to decrease the discomfort you feel and insert your medication as prescribed.
