Tumeric is a spice from the ginger plant. You can mix it in curries or rice or potato dishes or soups or salads or anything you like, really. You can also take it in capsule form - follow the directions.
Depending on why it is being taken, dosages seem to be from about 500mg a day to 3000mg. This also depends on what form your are taking it. If it's the actual (raw) root itself, the guide is about 3000 whereas the guide in capsule form is about 1000-2000 mg per day.
