People drink a bottle (8 oz, I think) of tonic water whenever they have cramps or as a preventative measure. Some have a glass every day. There are risks to this, as some people don't react well to tonic water (side effects include dizziness and nausea). However, the dosage of quinine is very low in tonic water.
