Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

You will not know you have gallbladder problems for sure until you get an actual diagnosis but there are many signs and symptoms that signal you may have something wrong:

For gall bladder cancer:

Gallbladder cancer often shows no symptoms in its early stages. As the disease progresses, symptoms associated with bile obstruction often develop. These include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Pain in the upper back (called referred pain)
  • Jaundice (yellowing of the “whites” of the eyes, the skin, under the tongue)

Other symptoms may include:

  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Weight loss
  • Liver and spleen enlargement
  • Increased abdominal girth

For gall stones:

Gallstones may cause pain in the upper abdomen. This is sometimes called an attack because it begins suddenly, often after a fatty meal. The pain is severe and may last for 30 minutes or several hours.

Other symptoms include:

  • Intermittent pain on the right, below the ribcage
  • Bloating, nausea, and vomiting
  • Belching, gas, and indigestion

If you have the following symptoms, see your doctor right away:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Sweating
  • Chills
  • Low-grade fever
  • Jaundice (yellowish color of the skin or whites of the eyes)
  • Clay-colored stools

If you have any of these symptoms, please call your doctor.

I hope this has helped and thank you for writing!

Hi Steph

You may have a gall bladder problem or you may have a really bad case of heartburn.

Increase your fiber intake in order to move your bowels.

You can try an over-the-counter medication for heartburn but if you don't see any results in the next couple of days, it's a good idea to call your doctor.

I hope you get this resolved,
