hi i just turned 44, and for the past say year to year and a half ive just been moody,my sexy drive is very low,,, i talked to my doctor about it and she said no cause im still haveing my period every month pretty regular,,, only off by one day either way....mostly 6/7 day durartion moderate flow. last year i went t the dr.and she said i had a mild case of anxiety and put me on buspar for a month and it didnt change the symptoms at all.im always on edge ans defensive ,i also see the my words are sometimesare hard to gt together,or will comeout weird i really dont think its anxiety ,,,,maybe at the time being as i lost my dad back then but not no more .there are also days where i feel extrememly hot almost like someones holding a torch to my bottom.( lol) my concern is the moody defensive feeling all the time .i also feel tired alot of the time i have seasonal allergies and asthma (but mild)ok welllook forward to hear your ideas on it thank you christine

Christine,

Has your doctor checked your hormone levels? Or is he just saying that you aren't going through perimenopause because you still get your periods?

Before trying the Progesterone cream, ask your doctor for some blood work that includes testing your hormone levels. I don't think it is fair to you to just be brushed off as if nothing is wrong.

Please keep us posted with your results.
