My husband was suppose to have a stint put in but the Dr cancelled it because his sodium level was too low. How can he raise that

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

You will need to contact the surgeon to know what to do and to know how and why his salt levels are low. The obvious answer is "eat more salt" but your husband should know the causes of this sodium condition so he can carefully treat it. Causes can include heart disease, or kidney problems or even too many fluids in the body that dilute the salt. The surgeon should have given him a treatment plan.
