Hello,
I am 21 years young girl. I have a problem with my shyness during sex. My boyfriend tried to make me comfortable but still I can't do any acts of arousing him due to shyness. And also having big fear of losing virginity after read out about the bleedings and pains during losing virginity. Help me with, how get rid of these things?

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

First I want you to be patient with yourself. This is a big step for you as a woman and it is a process, so don't get down on yourself for being apprehensive.

I'm glad to hear that your boyfriend is doing his part in trying to help you become more comfortable, but have you thought to yourself, that you just may need more time?  It really is a big step and the first person you share the experience with is very important.

Take some time to do some soul searching and be patient with yourself with the process. It's important that you keep in mind that your participation in any sexual experience (act of intimacy) is your choice to receive pleasure as much as it is to give, so please don't pressure yourself to perform just to satisfy your boyfriend.

Here are some additional resources to help you navigate through this very important decision and experience.
