Hi Anon

Welcome back to EmpowHER!

Implantation bleeding is very different to a period - there is no flow of blood. The bleeding is just a few drops over the course of a few days.

Many women miscarriage; it's thought that up to a third of pregnancies end in miscarriage and if it's an early miscarriage (up to a few weeks) it's mistaken for a heavy period. It's unlikely that a woman who does not know she is pregnant would realize this is a miscarriage unless it was several weeks along.

As to vaginal bleeding that could be mistaken for a period - this should not happen and warrants an immediate checkup.

To know if you are pregnant, you need to take a pregnancy test.
