I will need more specifics in order to give you more detailed advice however.  The most important thing is, how long you have been smoking.  That determines everything.  It will take longer for lungs to clear after 10 years of smoking than 5 years of smoking. It also depends on how often during that time period you smoked and what kind of cigarettes you used.
