Hi,
I have started taking birth control pills since 24th July 2015 and got unscheduled period after that on 1st August. Considering this as a side effect of the pills (as posted in my earlier posts) I accepted the fact that it will take some time for menstrual cycle to be normal. i didn't get any periods after that and so i wanted to ask when should i expect my next cycle??
How much time it takes to get normal? Please help.

Thank you :)

It does need time, but every woman is different. In the meantime you can speak with your doctor about your particular situation as well.

Hi AnujaB13,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Because birth control pills contain hormones, it's expected that that your menstrual cycle might be affected. You may experience spotting, or may even miss a period. Birth control companies indicate that it could take up to 3 months for your menstrual cycle to regulate.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
