Hello qwert,

I would like to welcome you to the EmpowHER website and thank you for seeking our help with your concerns and anxiety about being intimate with your soon to be husband.

Though we come from different parts of the world and have been raised with different cultural norms, I can appreciate how you are feeling.

Qwert, try to see sexual intimacy as a way of expressing your love for your husband. By remaining a virgin until marriage, you have reserved a precious gift for only one man, the man you will soon marry.

Sexuality begins with the mind. You need to work on refocusing your negative thoughts of sex as dirty to positive thoughts that sexual intimacy is pleasurable.

Can you discuss your feelings freely with your fiance? Is there a female relative whom you trust and can help you prepare for marriage?

Regards,

Maryann
