antibiotics with still no change. He is now complaining of leg numbness. I am very very concerned about possible infection in blood stream or possible sepsis. Please help.

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your post.

Has he seen a dentist? Hopefully, this new antibiotic will help. The source of the infection is the tooth/abscess which needs to be drained and the tooth removed if deemed necessary. Once the source of the infection is gone, this will improve his condition. He needs to see an oral surgeon. Call the ER doctor you saw (or go back if his condition is worsening again) and ask if they have an oral surgeon on call. If not, they might be able to find one.

Keep us updated.
