Hello Anonymous,
Excessive sweating that occurs even when the temperature isn't hot and you are not exercising is called hyperhidrosis. Usually it affects the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and underarms.
The nerves responsible for triggering your sweat glands become overactive and signal more perspiration even when it is not necessary. The problem can worsen when you are under stress or nervous.
Have you discussed this problem with your physician?
Hyperhidrosis treatment varies, depending on the severity of the problem. Prescription antiperspirants, hydrocortisone cream, oral medications that block nerve communication, and botulinum toxin injections are medical treatment options.
In cases of excessive sweating, the removal of specific sweat glands and the cutting, burning, or clamping of specific nerves may be done.
