Anon - Thank you for writing and sharing your situation. It must be very hard on you to not be able to venture out very far from your home.

You've asked about agoraphobia, which is defined as an irrational fear of being trapped in places or situations where escape could be difficult or impossible. People with agoraphobia often will not leave the house.

Agoraphobia is often associated with other conditions such as panic disorder. You may find it helpful to read the information in our agoraphobia reference section on the symptoms and treatments: https://www.empowher.com/condition/agoraphobia/symptoms

We are not able to diagnose your condition, you need to see a licensed professional - either a psychologist or psychiatrist - who can work with you to figure out exactly what type of medical condition you have and the best treatment options. We hope you will seek help, and wish you the best outcome and that you return to enjoying everyday life and travel again.
Take care,
Pat
