i am 31 years old, had my tubes cut 4 years ago and it is my 2nd month that i have had a bloody/spotty discharge. Could i be pregnant or what could cause this?

No, this is not normal. Considering your medical history of having a tubal ligation four years ago and two months of spotting, you need to be evaluated by a physician.

Since i dont have insurance at this time..i took a pregnancy test and it came back negative...should i still be alarmed? i know i should still consult a doctor,and i will, but is having this light, pink, brownish discharge normal or not?

Hi,
Just so I understand correctly, you are having a bloody/spotty discharge between normal menstrual periods? I suggest you call your gynecologist soon. Physical examination, specifically a pelvic exam, blood tests and pelvic ultrasound may need to be done to determine the cause. An ectopic pregnancy is possible.

thanks for the reply...i ment to type, the bloody/spotty discharge i am getting is instead of my normal monthly period. could an ectopic pregnancy still be the cause?
