Q:

I am 39 years old and just came out of a 10 year marriage several months ago. I dont have sex very often but it seems like when I do I start my period right afterwards. Sometimes this is twice a month.

My period has never been regular and it usually lasts about 7 days. The times it starts afteer having sex it will sometimes last about two days. Any idea what could be going on with that?

Hi Anonymous,

You should go to your Gynecologist to be sure that you do not have any inflammation to your cervix which is one reason why you may be experiencing bleeding after sex. Polyps or fibroids would be another possible concern. If you go to your doctor, they can check all of these possibilities.

Unfortunately, we can offer you possibilities to your issue but you should really consult your physician about the bleeding. Can you keep us updated?

Good Luck,
Missie
