This is a major problem. He is a sex addict and I could care less...I need help. I have no desire and no passion. I absolutely hate this. I would love to feel like I used to.

Hi Anonymous,
February 25, 2011 - 8:01amThank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. There is hope. Low libido is something you can talk with your gynecologist about. They can try to determine if there is a physical reason why (for example, hormone imbalance) you may be experiencing a lack of desire. There also are topical treatments that may improve your experience with sex (Zestra, female intimacy enhancement oil). But you may want to talk with you doctor first. I think the fact that you want to enjoy it is a good thing. If you really didn't care about not wanting intimacy, that would be more of a problem. Your doctor may be able to help you figure out what could be going on and may have some suggestions to help you get back your "boogie".
Here is a page devoted to this topic that may provide some insight (I wrote the Low Libido Advocacy Sheet found on the page):

Good luck and let us know how you're doing. And congratulations on your marriage!

Thanks so much for writing back. I went to the Zestra site and ordered it. I am hoping this is the answer. I will keep you posted. Maybe it will be successful and I will be able to share good information for other women, my age, that can finally have the intimacy that they deserve. Hopefully this will be the women's Viagra. Thanks again,
