I just dont understand why this is happening, ny period is not normal, I mean if it is even a period.

Hi Anonymous,

Stressing out over this is doing you more harm. Call your gynecologist, who may choose to order a blood pregnancy test. A blood pregnancy test is more accurate than a urine test.

If you still get a negative result, at least your doctor is aware of changes in your menstrual cycle and can figure out the reason.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us for help.

Wait a few more days. It is not uncommon to occasionally notice scanty brown vaginal discharge a day or two before your period starts.

Have you had unprotected intercourse since your last period? If so, there was a risk that you conceived.

If this discharge does not increase to a full menstrual flow in the next three days, then re-test in the morning, using the first urine of the day.

Keep us updated.

Regards,
Maryann
