I have had heart problems and had stents in 2002 and 2003. No heart attack, just short of breath. Was good after first stents. After second I seemed to go downhill. Breathing OK but have gradually lost energy. I am in physical therapy as my doctor just doesn't know what to make of me. My heart doctor says all tests are good, heart, lungs, thyroid, etc.
Had gall bladder removed 3 years ago. Coratid artery cleaned out last year.
Muscles feel so weak and I have to rest after doing anything.

Am retired as light headedness was a problem at work.
Work hard in the home and in the garden.
Can't stand cold weather.
Thought maybe I have a muscular problem.

I am so sorry!
Can you tell us if you've had your hormone levels checked?
What is your age, weight and height?
Do you smoke?
Are you physically active (as much as possible)?
Do you have any sleep difficulties?
Do you eat a healthy diet?

Sorry for the basic questions, but just want to make sure we are on the same page.

If your doctors are at a loss, I will not be able to provide much additional information either. Let me ask one of our experts, once I hear back from you on the above information (and any additional information you can provide).

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you for getting back to me so soon. No I haven't had my hormone levels checked. I am 76 (only just last week) weigh 174lbs. Have lost 5lbs. since cutting down on bread and potatoes.
Doc. thought I was getting too much sugar and suggested that.
I am 5'3" (lost 1/2" somewhere). I do not smoke although I did for many years. Now I can't stand to be around it. I am quite active as far as housework - cleaning up after two dogs and cats - also do a lot of gardening, but cannot walk more than 5 or 10 mins. without resting. I am taking physical therapy for a degenerative hip which was X-Rayed and diagnosed many years ago but nothing was done about it at the time as I had too many other problems and doctor said 'let's take care of one thing at a time. My therapist is working on strengthening my legs. I get an awful aching across the top of legs and groin area. Not often, but it feels like the heavy ache I had when I menstruated. Maybe the hip? I am waiting for results of a biopsy taken because of an 'irregular pap test'. This is the first pap test in about 15 years.
I wake up many times at night - mainly because of my hip aching.
I eat a healthy diet. Mostly fresh fruits and plain yogurt for breakfast, sometimes an egg and one piece of toast and coffee. Lunch is a small lunchmeat & cheese sandwich with salad and supper consists of lots of veggies and lean meat or fish. I drink one glass of red wine with supper and have a few cups of tea during the day. Hope this is not too much information, but I'm trying to give you the whole picture. I just want to get my old energy back.
Hope to hear back from you.
