Hi Anon

Thanks for your question!

Night sweats generally happen due to hormonal fluctuations (but not always, it can happen due to liver conditions or even stress and worry). How old are you? You may be entering menopause or you may have an imbalance with your hormones. A visit to your OB/GYN is a good start.  Are you taking any medications?

With regard to lower back pain, this is extremely common but we can't say if it is connected to your hot flashes, but some women who have had hysterectomies complain of back pain along with hot flashes. They also may be caused by tossing and turning and general discomfort at night, due to the flashes. Please mention the back pain to your doctor also.
