Okay well I just recently went back onto birth control because of insurance reasons. I started my sprintec on a saturday and forgot to take it tuesday wednesday and on thursday i doubled up and took the one for thursday. I then forgot Friday saturday sunday and now its monday. I started my period today (Monday) and i am not for sure what to do. I basically have a full pack left. Am i supposed to take the four today or just start the same pack on the day i missed when im done bleeding? Or should I even wait till I am done bleeding? I am sexually active and the last time I had intercourse was on the saturday I started the pack. Help :(

Hi HM,
Thanks for your question. You may want to call your doctor's office and speak with the nurse about this. They may tell you to throw away your current pack and start over with a new pack, but please call them to confirm. When you forget to take the pill so much, you run the risk of getting pregnant. A backup method should be used when having sex to avoid that and the stress of it all.
It seems you are having trouble remembering to take the pill, and it will not be effective if you don't take it regularly (every day, and close to the same time). A different form of birth control may be right for you.

Good luck and let us know how else we can help you.
