i'm 17 and i really enjoy masturbating, i believe it's very healthy and it relieves stress. i usually get so wet it's crazy and I've been able to orgasm once. but recently i am so dry and it frustrates me so much because i am so horny and i can't do anything about it. even when my boyfriend fingers me i can't get wet and it's really discouraging to both of us. (i used coconut oil as lube once but i read after that you shouldn't use it)

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.

Excessive masturbation may be the cause of vaginal dryness. Trying cutting back and see if you notice an improvement.

I found this piece of information that I wanted to share with you. "For women, excessive masturbation can cause an unusual amount of vaginal dryness during penetration and disinterest during actual partner sex. Vibrators, which were originally marketed to sexually empower women, are actually more effective in desensitizing their precious female parts. Vibrators desensitize those parts because they work too well. Too much supernormal stimulation can easily become a problem because it decreases brain sensitivity (and thus satisfaction)." opposingviews.com
