Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for your question.
It is not normal to not have your period for six months. It is not normal to have a heavy menstrual flow that lasts 13 days.
You mention that you use birth control. Anonymous, are you taking birth control pills, specifically one of the newer pills that limit the number of periods you have each year?
I am assuming that if you are using birth control pills, have an IUD, or get the Depo-Provera injection, you must see a gynecologist.
Is your doctor aware that you did not get your period for six months?
You need to talk with your gynecologist about the missed periods, and now a prolonged period with heavy menstrual flow.
