Hi, I have a big issue which bothers me a lot and I don't know which doctor would be the right person to know about this matter. Right now I'm in a very in between position causing me a problem in a way that I don't know who would be the right person to know about this.
The issue is I have scoliosis and because of this I have sciatica recently I get in a lot of pain because of sciatica and next week Friday I'm going to see a neurosurgeon to know if my issue for sciatica if it's surgical related. The other issue I have is I have ovarian cyst and I have pain because of this as well. Because of sciatica and ovarian cyst my pain is double if you know what I mean from here.
I want to know what do you think this could be from? From how I feel I think that because of sciatica and ovarian cyst they both are putting pressure on me and make me feel light headed causing me to have low blood pressure. Do you think it has relation to what I have going on? I don't know who would be the right person to know what I can do because of having dehydration and getting light headed problem? I left message for my neurologist to hear from him about such issue so far I'm waiting to hear from him. Please let me know what I can do about this?
Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa6666,
It may be possible the pain can be due to this condition. If the specialist doctor is the only one that listens to you and cares about how you feel. It's best to discuss with him your condition and results of any imaging test done. He can work with you in finding the problem treatment for your symptoms. Hope this was helpful?

Hi, Thank you for letting me know about this. From how I'm feeling I feel like my sciatica pain has gone to far in a way that it's causing me such problem as in making me feel light headed, faint and low blood pressure. I'm actually going to see a neurosurgeon this Friday and I will mention all this to him.
There is a different issue I have as well and I was wondering if you think it's sciatica related. It's awkward to say this though even though I don't know if it's sciatica related the thing is in my left breast I keep having pain in the same spot it's been awhile I have been having such issue and I feel like something pressing me there and the pain feels like something touching my nerves. If for example I don't have a cyst or something there is there a way for my doctor to see what's touching my nerve or what's pressing me in the area making me to have such pain there? I keep having a feeling like something pressing me and I get in a kind of pain that nothing really helps me, I realized gabapentin is helping me. Do you think this is sciatica related causing me to have pain that's touching the nerves? Recently any little pain bothers me a lot. I will be seeing my doctor for my breast issue next month and meanwhile I'm wondering what do you think of this matter? I want to make sure I'm saying this the right way to my doctor. Please let me know.
Thank You,

Melissa,
You need to wait until you see your doctor, if you are having pain in the breast. It's very important to let him know of your symptoms. He might suggest having a mammogram or a breast ultrarsound. Hope this was helpful?

Thank you for your reply and thank you for letting me know about all these. I'm going through lots of personal stuff and the main two things are bothering me is sciatica pain and breast pain. I'm seeing my doctor next month for my breast problem and for sciatica I'm going to have x-ray and myelogram done. Just one thing I'm wondering would mammogram or ultrasound show everything throughout the breast or you think breast MRI shows it because I also have muscular problem in my breast and I feel like a nerve or something pressing me something in my breast, I was wondering if breast MRI shows better? My GYN was talking to me about this and I was just wondering about it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Melissa,
In most cases a Mammogram or ultrasound can show an image of the complete breast area. An MRI is sometimes used for women or men with a strong history of breast cancer or for further evaluation of abnormalities found in a Mammogram. You might want to discuss with your doctor if you would need one.

Thank you for letting me know. Which imaging you think is best that I have done to actually see the whole breasts muscles, nerves, cysts etc. because the main thing I know is nerves and cysts are the two main problems I have? I'm going to see my doctor soon I will definitely mention all these to him.

Hi Melissa6666,
Welcome back. Some of the symptoms for Sciatica are weakness and numbness in the leg or foot, pain in the rear or leg and many other. The new symptoms you are having can be due to many things, it's impossible to know what can be causing it. You need to be seen by your primary care physician. He might suggest having blood work done and , imaging test. He will decide if you need to be seen by a specialist.
Hope this was helpful?

Thank you for your reply. The primary physician I have are a clinic where I see a different doctor each time and they all are residents. Generally what ever I talk to them either they say I don't know or talk to your specialist. I don't know who I should say this to. Right now I'm waiting for a phone call from my neurologist do you think it makes sense that I'm mentioning this to him? Next week I'm going to see a neurosurgeon for sciatica do you think it makes sense that I mention such thing to him? Only my specialists understand me no one else really does.
I'm in a very in between position and I get really scared when I feel light headed and feel like faint especially when I'm in public.
The other thing I'm wondering about which is because of sciatica pain every little pain bothers me a lot. Because of my back issue many of my issues are in between problems.
The other thing bothering me is my left breast is very dense and sore. On one spot of my breast I keep having pain and I'm going to see my doctor for this next month. Meanwhile what's bothering me is since my breast is dense and ultrasounds don't really show if something's there, whatever is in the spot that I'm having such pain I don't know how my doctor would find out more about this. Because of my back issue I keep having pulling feeling with my left breast and since I have pain in one spot I keep thinking maybe if for example there is no cyst there and a nodule or nerve pressing me somewhere in the area I'm wondering how would the doctor be able to see if such thing is bothering me? Recently such pain I have like this really gets painful and gets on my nerves. I'm a small person and with sciatica pain recently every little pain is bothering me a lot, do you think sciatica is causing me such pain problems like this? Please let me know more about this soon.
