My husband is always saying things like "I'm gonna rock your world in bed." or "You know I wanna punish your cooter.". I've told him before I don't find that kind of talk attractive, but he doesn't seem to care what I think. Then the last time we were being intimate I asked him to change positions so it wasn't as painful and he flipped out and left the bedroom. I told him I just wanted him to cuddle more, so I could get ready for sex and that the position was painful for me. He accused me of questioning his manhood and cheating and didn't talk to me for half a day. I'm losing my patience here, what can I do that will help the situation?

Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to our community for advice. It took courage to share your story and we are here to help in any way. My advice is biased based on only hearing your side of the story. But, I do not think there is any thing more that you can do and the problems rests with your husband.
It appears that he has issues with his masculinity and sexuality. His language, aggressiveness and disregard of your discomfort is evidence.
Counseling may be a solution. If not couples counseling, maybe individual counseling.

Thank you Maryann. He is in counseling right now, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I think I will have to start my own therapy, so I don't lose sight of my strengths. This has really broken me down a lot, because he wasn't always like this.
