I had a hysterectomy at the young age of 23, I have one biological child who i love whole heartedly. She is my life. My problem is i hate her seeing me cry, mad, depressed all the time. I am on EstroGel ... 2 pumps a day, but lately i feel like i have relasped. I dont feel like my boyfriend who truly is my soul mate understands....and how can he when I dont.I am also raising 2 step daughters, the oldest and i do not see eye to eye. I dont know where to turn or what to think. any advice would greatly be appreciated...if this at all makes any sense :(

Dear Anon,

I'm so sorry that you feel alone and as a parent, I can certainly understand why you wouldn't want your children to see you cry.
Have you talked to your doctor about your depression? Have you considered seeing a therapist? I know you want help, I can tell by the way you write about your depression. I feel like you would benefit from talking to your doctor and definitely seeing a therapist regarding your feelings post-hysterectomy.

Here is a hysterectomy group for you:

Hope this helps and that you find the help that you need,

Rosa
