Hi hangy,
Thank you for your question. Can you see what the ball-like thing looks like? My first inclination would be that maybe it could be genital warts (HPV). Genital warts would look either like warts or cauliflower like. Here is a link to pictures of what genital warts look like http://cervicalcancer.about.com/od/screening/f/genital_warts.htm. Even if you are not sexually active, you may be a carrier of HPV for several years before you have any symptoms of the virus.
My other question would be are you physically active? The reason why I am asking is because many times I also get enlarged lymph nodes between my legs from over-exercising at times but they tend to go away after relaxing for a small amount of time. Most of the time, I get these between my thigh and vagina though, not on the vaginal area.
Sebaceous cysts (ingrown hair) are also pretty common and nothing you have to worry about as they tend to go away on their own. Do you shave the vaginal area?
Do these things sound like it may be what your experiencing? If not, please give us an idea of what the bumps look like so we can be of more assistance.
