Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
July 24, 2016 - 5:19pmDrowsiness after eating is often due to the type and food you're eating and when you eat it. A long of carbohydrates and red meat in the middle of the day is difficult for your body to digest. Therefore, your body focuses all its energy on digestion, making you feel tired. This is very common.
I suggest that you try eating most of your daily calories before noon then taper your calorie intake down throughout the day. Try to have a light lunch. Avoid fast food, overly processes foods, canned foods and dairy. Eating pure and simple will help keep your energy high through the day.
