It has been going on for about 5 days. It occurs every few hours. I notice it when I am quiet.

Graceingreece,
Thank you for your question.
Is this a murmur or do you feel a pulse? There is a femoral pulse right between your leg and groin and is completely normal-- if you are feeling it, good for you!
However, a murmur is an additional heart sound that can be benign or indicate a heart problem. Please let us know if what you hear is a murmur or if it's just a pulse that you become aware of when it is quiet.
I know that I can feel AND see my stomach go up and down due to my aorta and lack of fat in my belly-- it can be a scary thing if you are not familiar with certain pulse points and major arteries.
Keep us posted
