I thought my periods where coming then a few hours later nothing?? Had sex last night but I dont think it was rough enough to cause bleeding

Hi Anon,
Sometimes at any point during your cycle, you may notice a little bit of blood mixed in with your discharge. This is normal. Sometimes it's pink, sometimes red, or sometimes brown (this is old blood). Depending on the color, it could be a sign of ovulation or just blood that was pooled from your last period. But, it sounds like, mid cycle spotting, which occurs during ovulation and sometimes you may also feel some cramping along with the spotting.
