Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

Was the period which started on October 3 your very first period ever? Are you still having bleeding today?

When a young woman starts menstruating, her cycles can be irregular at the start. As her body adjusts, her periods become more regular.

Wait and see what happens. If you continue to bleed heavily for two days or more, please contact your physician. Prolonged and irregular periods can be a sign of a hormonal imbalance and needs to be taken care of.

Regards,
Maryann
