I had my period last week and I had unprotected sex last night, I'm just wondering, why am I having cramps?

My period was 2 weeks late before I got my period last week, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with this.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Since it's been a week you had your period, you might be ovulating.  But, if you had unprotected sex, your chances for pregnancy to occur are higher.  If the cramping doesn't go away, you might need to see a doctor.  He might suggest, imaging test to know the cause of the cramps.
