Q:

I had my period on May 20th and I was ovulating around may 31 to June 3 and I had sex almost everyday on those days and I now have some of the pregnancy symptoms. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative is it because I tested too soon.

Hi, Anon, and welcome to EmpowHer!

You know, it could go either way. You might have tested too soon, and the pregnancy test didn't pick up the levels of HCG that it needs to find in your urine (that is the pregnancy hormone). Or you might not be pregnant, and your symptoms might not actually be pregnancy symptoms at all.

How late are you now? What day did you test on?

How long are your cycles, normally? And you're sure that you were ovulating on those days?

I tell you, we see enough questions about late periods, pregnancy tests and dates on the calendar that I can tell you anything could be possible at this point. And I know the waiting is maddening! Your best bet is to wait a few days and test again, perhaps with a different home pregnancy test.

Hang in there, I know it's super-tough to wait. Deep breath, and come here for support, OK?
