Hi Anon,
Thank you for sharing your question with EmpowHER!
When you have protected sex, whether it be with a condom or you being on birth control, your risk of pregnancy is reduced. However, pregnancy is never 100% reduced unless you abstain from sex.
Do you use birth control or did you recently take emergency contraception? That can sometimes delay your period and make your breasts sore. Sometimes periods are just late though for a variety of reasons including stress, birth control, illness, travel, medication, excessive weight loss or gain, increased exercise.
Sore breasts are a common symptom leading up to your period, so that can very well be the case. Your period may be coming very soon. However, if it still does not come and you are worried of pregnancy, the only way to know is by taking a pregnancy test. You can also talk with your doctor as to what may be causing your period to be late.
Please keep me updated and I hope this helped.
