i had sex around the same week i was expecting my period but its been 1 week and i still haven't had my peroid? what does this mean? can anyone help me?

Having a late or even missed period is common and usually nothing to worry about. It is especially common during adolescent years when the hormones are still trying to reach a balance.
Any underlying conditions that need attention usually cause heavy, prolonged periods, or severe symptoms such as a fever.
