Hello Anonymous,
Only your physician can correlate the findings of this report to your medical history. Generally, a patient has a scheduled appointment with the physician following a diagnostic test. Since the ultrasound of your thyroid glands showed an abnormality, the nodules, your physician should meet with you to discuss the results.
Thyroid nodules are solid or fluid-filled lumps that form within your thyroid, a small gland located at the base of your neck, just above your breastbone. The great majority of thyroid nodules aren't serious and don't cause symptoms. Thyroid cancer accounts for a small percentage of thyroid nodules.
