Welcome to EmpowHER. It's important to clean any open wound before drying or bandaging. Let the wound air-dry for a couple of hours after the bleeding or pus secretion stops. Sometimes antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin can be applied. If it does not heal after a week, you should see your doctor.
