Hello Summerjean22,

Moodiness is often a premenstrual symptom.

Depression unlike occasional feelings of sadness is more serious. It is characterized by loss of interest, feelings of hopelessness, guilt, worthlessness and helplessness.

If your daughter shows signs of difficulty concentrating, low appetite, decreased energy, insomnia or oversleeping, or expresses thought of death or suicide, get professional help quickly.
