Hi Missy87,
November 15, 2010 - 11:26amThank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER.
Are you trying to get pregnant? We cannot diagnose you, or tell you if your period is coming. Cramping could be caused by any number of things, including ovulation, pre-menstrual syndrome, or another condition. If cramping is excessive, that is to say, if it is doubling you over in pain, you should contact your doctor's office to get checked out. Likewise, if you experience any other symptoms that concern you, call your doctor's office to ask what they recommend.
If you miss your period when it is expected, you can then take a home pregnancy test, or request one at your doctor's office or clinic. If you get your period, you are not pregnant.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
