Hi Anon

Thank you for our question!

Those with "Lupus skin" (cutaneous lupus) can get rashes and can be very photo sensitive. Therefore staying out of the sun is a good idea although a little sunshine every day shouldn't hurt, but no tanning or long term exposure.

This article can explain a lot more: http://www.empowher.com/lupus/content/why-sunlight-affects-skin-people-lupus

Some rashes will leave scars, others will not - it depends on the kind of skin lupus you have. To learn more, head to the Lupus Foundation here: http://www.lupus.org/webmodules/webarticlesnet/templates/new_empty.aspx?articleid=376&zoneid=99

Does this help you?
